Concrete Patios
Make the most of South Dakota's beautiful summers with a custom concrete patio from D&D Concrete & Construction. The Black Hills region offers stunning outdoor living — and a well-built patio is the foundation for entertaining, relaxing, and family time from spring through fall. We design and build concrete patios of all sizes, from compact side-yard spaces to expansive backyard entertaining areas. Choose from standard broom finish for a clean, classic look, stamped concrete that mimics natural stone or pavers, colored or stained concrete, or exposed aggregate for a textured surface. Our patio projects are engineered with proper drainage, appropriate thickness, steel reinforcement, and air-entrained concrete to handle the freeze-thaw cycles that come with living in the Black Hills. We take the time to understand how you use your outdoor space so we can design a patio that works perfectly for your lifestyle. Whether you're building a new patio, extending an existing one, or replacing a worn-out surface, D&D has the experience and equipment to deliver a result you'll love for years to come.
Concrete Patios FAQ
What concrete finishes work best for patios in South Dakota?
Broom finish and stamped concrete are both excellent choices. For stamped patios, we recommend patterns with texture that provide grip in wet or icy conditions. All patio concrete uses air-entrained mixes for freeze-thaw durability.
How long does a patio installation take?
Most residential patios are completed in 2–4 days. Larger patios or those with complex designs may take slightly longer.
Can you add a patio next to an existing one?
Yes. We can pour new concrete sections adjacent to existing patios, matching or complementing your current finish.
